Golden Vanity

Saturday is our work day. Today started with a Bible Study at 7am. Technically not true, today started with Mary Scot waking me up to go outside. After a deliciouses breakfast we headed outside to begin our work. Osanna's goal was to clean up our back patio. And with the help of Ivanna, our friendly neighbor, (Whose name is being withheld for privacy.) Osanna, Mom, Dad and I we succeeded in cleaning up the patio. It was so successful we were able to enjoy an evening jam around the fire.

Eggs

Uriah did a cool trick while cracking an egg into Mary Scot's food dish. Ivanna did not.

What Funny Ideas We Have!

Yesterday one of my students really cracked me up. I over heard him telling some students that "Such and Such Girl" was his girlfriend. Then I hear that "Such and Such Girl" had kissed him. Knowing her parents would not like this (from conversations we've had) I decided I needed to ask some questions.

He came forward looking nervous. I asked what he was talking about and he said:
"Well, "Such and Such Girl" kissed me, and so now I think she's my girlfriend and we're going to get married."
I respond to him:
"Are you nervous because you think you're going to have to marry her?"

He says with confidence:
"No, that's what happens after you get kissed."

Poem for Lis

Poem for Lis
November 24, 2003

I really cant wait
but she will be here late

I am so happy
she is going to see her "Pappy"

Her husband will see
I am happy as a bee

She will be her for Thanksgiving
I am glad that she is living

She may be a pain
but I can see that is gain

Her family she may love
though she's not a white dove

We'll never throw her to a sitter
though she may smell like litter

Her house may be clean
and her budget so lean

Her dogs favorite is sugar
but he also likes burger

Seven months her husband was gone
yet she kept up his lawn

Written With Love,
Ivanna and Osanna
